Hardinge repair

I'd take HG Wells' "Time Machine" just to mess with them!

Actually, I think the distant future won't need "rebuilding" or ancient literature. I think they'll probably have their own society and their own literature and I'd be interested in reading it. Human society is a hard thing to kill.

Hardinge machine service advice

when you add up the cost of your parts and if you consider the time you will spend rebuilding,,
70 mi. is not that far, to make sure you are right before assembly,, also they will be able to "Magna flux" your block,, this will detect any possible cracks that you might not see with the ***** eye,,,,,
but then its your money and time,,,,
a case of "crc brake kleen" will desolve most anything built up inside and it dries really quick

good luck,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Bridgeport machine rebuilder

I've read the book and seen the movie.
The fact that the future men can't read won't matter--the time traveler will have to read it to them, teach them; the point is the books need to be for them--or for him.

For the Eloi, I'd suggest a one-volume encyclopedia of mechanics, engineering, basic stuff on how to build walls, lay pipe, construct a solar collector, make wire, build houses, lay a deck, etc., etc.
For the time traveler, I would consider a massive Best Loved Poems of the English Language--it would be something he could not reproduce for himself, might want to share and could reread many times.
The third book would have to be a large science book, to stimulate future science in the new world, an encyclopedia of basic science.

Bridgeport machine support

Well, i don't think the size of hard disk matters. Only the number of hard disks matter, so get as much HDD as you like. 160 GB is good enough.

Bridgeport spindle rebuild

My borther owns a shop and they send them out to be cleaned. It is no longer an acid dip but strong cleaners and hot water. You should do this to clean out all the oil journals. then it looks like a shiny new nickel not your mom's oven after the easy off.... YUCK!

Bridgeport machine rebuilder

Acid dip in a tank is the best. Machine shop should have it.

Without that, the pressure washer would work, but first spray it down with an engine degreaser, and use hot water & detergent in the spray. Afterward, wipe it down with motor oil.
